Default [15/10/2013] All AM services into Connolly delayed

LED displays only showing 1 line of information....Due to operational reasons services operating up to 20 minutes late.
IE realtime showing 10 min delays to all inbound trains, but only 5 minute to northbound.
Any ideas on exact reason?

Maybe it was from the evening before, or early morning. I was about 8 mins late into Connolly around 8.15am....

Cork and Limerick services were running 20-30 mins late this morning due to 'speed restrictions around Templemore'. The 0710 from Waterford made additional stops at Kildare and Sallins to relieve the late running 0640 from Limerick.

This was the first time in months that delays of this order affected services from Kildare. Normally the service is quite reliable in both directions.

Does anyone have any info as to what the problem was south of Templemore. The restriction was lifted very quick pretty much after the morning services. Know IE it will be the "wheel slip" excuse.

Delays again this morning on the 0640 ex Limerick but no explanation given.

If you commuted from Celbridge/Hazelhatch your opinion of the service would be quite different.
Since the start of October:
02/10 - 8.06am late

08/10 - 8.06am late
09/10 - 7.52am late
11/10 - 7.52am late
15/10 - 8.06am late
16/10 - 7.52am late

These delays are ongoing not just since the start of October.

To be fair has it even operated to schedule, every time I get the 7.10 we get stuck waiting for it. The exact same with the 7.40 from Limerick, daily waits on the 7.50 up to 15 minutes at Cherryville. A few weeks ago the 7.50 was at Cherryville at 9.20 and we arrived in Kildare at 9.39.

The 0640 is often 5 or more minutes late in Kildare but usually arrives on time in Heuston 0857 (0855 to 0900 90% of the time). If it's on-time in Kildare, it gets stuck waiting for the 0806 from Newbridge at Citywest. End result is the same with a knock on effect on the 0710.

What sort of delays are these trains experiencing?

07:20 ex Portlaoise
2/10 +8 (Delayed Cherryville)
8/10 +2 (no delay)
15/10 (no data wrong train code used)

07:35 ex Hewbridge
9/10 +5 (delayed departing Newbridge, train was in platform 15 minutes before scheduled time
11/10 +2 (no delay)
15/10 +0 (no delay)
16/10 +8 (delayed departing Newbridge, train was in platform 11 minutes before scheduled time

5 of the 8 seem to be within agreed performance targets used worldwide, 6th we know nothing about and the other two are within Irish Rail contract conditions. All delays appear to be delays due other trains, the schedule of the trains in question is practical.

Question is what is acceptable? within 5 minutes is the world standard
