Many simple small projects have been forgotten in Transport 21.
Phoenix Park Tunnel
No reference is made to the use of this piece of infrastructure which allows trains to access Connolly station and the planned station at Spencer Dock from Heuston. It has been airbrushed out of the map. While not a long term solution it offers a quick fix at no cost.

Mullingar Athlone
This line was recommended for reopening by the Strategic Rail Review and costed at €156 million. It forms a second route from Dublin to the West avoiding the heavily used Portarlington Athlone line.
Limerick Commuter
Despite the existence of an existing radial rail network no investment is proposed.
Rail Users Ireland has long supported the provision of a proper suburban rail network for Limerick. We call it L train. A updated proposal will be made available shortly.
DART to Kildare and Drogheda
Originally proposals where for electrification from Dublin to Kildare and Drogheda. For some unknown reasons which appear purely political this has been dropped leaving Hazelhatch and Balbriggan as the extent of electrification proposed under the plan.
