New Cork Dublin Timetable

October 20th 2005

From December 2005 there will be significant changes to the Dublin Cork timetable leading to the introduction of clockface timetables for possibly the first time in history in Ireland on an intercity service. A consistent stopping pattern will also be introduced.

Services will leave Dublin every two hours with services at 7:00, 9:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00. Services from Cork at 5:30, 7:30, 9:30, 11:30, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30 and 19:30. All services will be operated by the modern MK3 type coach leading to reduced journey times and significant improvements in comfort particularly on the 5:30 Cork Dublin and 21:00 Dublin Cork.

The new Cork Dublin Express trainsets will take over services in 2006 and hourly services are proposed to begin in mid to late 2006 as the new trainsets become available.
