Sligo train jinxed Fri 1st Feb?
Was anyone on that 19.05 train on Friday 1st Feb was looking forward to trying out the swish new trains however at Glasnevin junction a points failure yawn! resulted in a 40 mins delay
 finally we got moving only to be held up again by a fight on board the train another 35min delay at Mullingar as we had to wait for the Guards etc.. resulting in myself getting into Carrick on Shannon at 10.35. The train left Dublin at 19.05 didnt help that everyone weater was miserable and people tired and frustrated. Thanks Irish rail you give people a fare increase and you still manage to have a 40 minute delay on your busiest day of the week cop on and get your service up to scratch. No point having nice trains if it take HOURS to get home!! |
