Internet rail cars coming this autumn

Autumn being over last midnight.
Also can anyone remember the exact copy of IE's ads about the new intercity railcars?

Did we even have an autumn this year?

There's a new issue of the Enterprise magazine out, and it has no mention of them, and very little railway related at all for that matter (the last few issues have had pages about all the investment in the railways and all the great improvements on the way. This issue seems to have quietly dropped all of that).

I'm sure they'll roll them out eventually, but in the meantime IE treat their customers with the usual contempt.

Apparently there are now 15 22Ks in Ireland

This appeared in Bridgend County Donegal briefly in April and then the Belfast Telegraph before it was hastily removed by IE's contractor.

(A Letterkenny journalist gave the photo to the Telegraph without the original photographer's permission. I on the other hand have his permission to post this)

Not dragging anything away but "new trains. The rollout begins this autumn" how vague is that message? Did the rollout not begin the minute they started testing? Of course the press releases are the proof in the pudding.

I'm as keen to try out the new trains as anyone, but if there are technical problems with them, it seems better to wait than to rush in and have a string of problems after.

On the other hand, leaving customers in the dark is poor form. Why not issue a press release along the lines of "we are looking forward to the roll out of our new trains that will offer a much improved passenger experience. However, due to some minor technical issues which we are working with the vendor to resolve, we are unable to begin the roll out until..."

It's the same as when the train stops on the line. People don't mind the delay so much if they are given quality information and they know what's going on.

Out of interest is there another definition for roll out other than the unveiling or launch of a new aircraft, spacecraft, or product

will whatever news we get on the new timetable this week (28 days just about up) tell us if the 22000s are on their way fairly soon. if the timetable is delayed by one month, what other reason would there be for this other than new trains into service?

wasn't last years timetable held by a month due to the mk4s being introduced on the cork line?

Yes the Mark IV's were the cause so its the 22000's this time. Think of the bright side they are on their way.
