![]() So let me get this straight, tomorrow morning at 7am construction will start on Terminal 2. In 2010 it will open. Metro North by that stage will have slipped by about 3 years. After the 2012 elections the Sinn Féin-Labour-Socialist Party-Bob Geldolf coalition government decide to cancel Metro North in favour of 2.7 million new buses. Does Terminal 2 have to be dismantled, block by block?

![]() I'm too lazy to trawl through the full report but does the Metro condition state that the Metro must be up and running before the terminal can open?

![]() No - there are two conditions relating to the Metro (which are similar for the runway and terminal decisions), namely that the DAA is required to liaise with the RPA and protect the alignment, and to make a financial contribution towards the project. Of course the latter is just a standard condition, considering there's a contribution scheme already in place.
