One of the committee is onboard Its running late one of the guests is missing, he should know better, probably won't be time for deserts (again!)

They are off to Howth for a BBQ, looks like rain, then to Bray and back

And despite the notices you can drink on the DART!

The fun really started on return to Connolly, the party train was routed to platform 5, the next southbound train was routed to platform 6 which is closed at night

Cue confusion and delay as platform 6 is reopened

So has anyone found out how mush this waist of time 25 year celebration is costing. Or instead of giving the cash amount, how about how many extra drivers IÉ could have hired instead.

Ok I was a bit OTT there, (btw thanks for the breakdown) but I would consider this a waste of cash which .... could go towards hiring drivers.... which we do need more that simply partying. I'm going to be seen as a party pooper

I wouldn't call you that.

I'd see this more a political stunt by IE more than anything.

A good way to remind the chairborne rangers in the DoF and DoT about the DART and benefits it has brought over the past 25 years.

Of course the people who truly make the decisions are unlikely to found on public transport...

Tara Street has gained some bunting, although I don't know if this was extra or re-used.
