![]() This article is from the Irish times dated 3rd january 2009. While this article is related to bus services there is a mention of an integrated bus and rail smart card

![]() Wait a minute:
On 3/01 'Mr Dempsey is placing the bus "at the heart" of the effort to cut Ireland's unsustainable carbon dioxide emissions' 2 weeks later, on 17/01 'DUBLIN Bus is axing 290 jobs, scrapping the weekday Nitelink service and removing 1,000 scheduled journeys from its timetable. Commuters face far more infrequent services after the company yesterday unveiled proposals to take 120 buses from eight garages from March 1, as part of a radical cost-cutting plan approved by Transport Minister Noel Dempsey.' (Source: http://www.independent.ie/national-n...207.html?r=RSS) Does this man has a schizophrenia or what? I just can't believe this... |

![]() Do buses in Ireland have the right of way when pulling away from a stop? (i.e. traffic approaching behind MUST let them out)
They do here. Not sure if it's made a difference or not, but worth thinking about maybe? |

![]() No they don't, for many years the rear of the bus on the right side had a yellow notice pleading to be let out
