Default Emergency brake

I'll shortly be arriving into Cork where I have the privilege to spend until next Monday evening. It was nearly going to be an hour later, though, on account of some skanger women on the Luas getting to Heuston.

At Smithfield, one of them got on while the other two were getting tickets. She held the door for them when it was trying to close, and when it did close, one was left behind. Of course, not satisfied to wait for her at their eventual destination, they pulled the emergency brake.

Driver came down to reset the brake, and put two of them off the tram. He had a stand-off with the third and threatened to call the gardaĆ* (at which stage the one remaining on the tram was denying all knowledge of the other two), but eventually decided to cut his losses and drive on. Same woman was blocking more than half the doorway at Heuston. Off in her own world.

I made the 1500 train to Cork but I wouldn't have minded getting the 1600 if the driver had got the guards to deal with her. Conveniently the two guys with yellow Luas Security vests had got off at Four Courts.
