RTE: Train driver injured by stone-throwers

Friday, 21 November 2008 19:59 There were delays for some rail commuters this evening following the stoning of the main Dublin to Waterford train outside Naas.

The train driver was injured when the train from Heuston Station was hit by at least one rock, which is believed to have been thrown by youths.
The incident happened around 3.50pm and passengers on the train had to wait there until a replacement driver and engine carriage were brought to the location.

The driver is being treated for his injuries.
