![]() Mark, next time you on air together with Barry Kenny, ask the Radio host why is Barry answering these questions, as he can only give a Public Relations point of view and not the senior staff who actually run rail services.
I am really starting to get sick and tired of Barry acting as a buffer/smoke screen. It should be senior staff like the chairman for example who should be on air trying to justify his well paid job. ![]() P.S. the last question gets cut off in the end. So did Barry answer the question reguarding extra drivers. I wont hold my breath

![]() Barry wasn't in the studio. He went on a totally weird side track when Matt asked the questions. A lot of what was said was quite misleading from the information we have and very much to aggravate the situation. IE want a strike since public opinion will be very much on there side once a picket goes up, however the drivers are playing smart and following the rules not running for the picket line, which is good for passengers since we effectively get last years timetable instead of nothing
As far as we know the weekend on which the 2008 Sunday service was worked it was the roster the drivers wanted not the one IE management wanted The response coming in to the studio where critical of IE not the staff. I emphasise again safety is a key concern and well rested staff are safer than those continuously working days off. We didn't get really stuck into details and whats going on is quite scary. There is a dirty little game afoot, the solution IE management want can't be done and in fact the authority to do what they want no longer rests with IE our friends in the RSC yield the power now. In fact we are right back at the stumbling block of the 2000 IDLA dispute
