[27-10-2007] Railway detonators stolen in Kilkenny

Up to a dozen railway detonators have been stolen from a level crossing station in Kilkenny.

Thieves broke into the gate lodge at the Dunbell crossing in Bennetsbridge overnight.

The detonators are used to warn trains of oncoming problems on the track.

Barry Kenny of Irish Rail says that they are very dangerous and he wants them back.
