Default irish rail real time information for pda/mobile phone users

http://www.irishrail.ie/realtime

I have to shamefully admit to using the DARTtxt service and thinking about it after paying for the cost of a text that came back and wasn't reliable at the time was a very stupid move!

I am a regular Internet user on the mobile phone (good ould opera mini!- the beta version is working wonders) indeed some of my posts have been posted from the phone and you might notice that half of the time i say "on" when it should be "no" (i amn't the best at predictive text!!!)

It's not the most reliable of services but it did tell me that this mornings drogheda to bray services (arrives pearse around 9ish) was delayed and i managed to catch the train. The infomation for last night when i was catching the dart was also correct!

It is a carbon copy of the website one but It's still cheaper than the DARTtxt though!

It works to a point, but if things go bad as they did on Monday its hopeless

Look out for trains running Howth Bray over the Bank Holiday

The complaint was upheld and IE are to change the promotional material to note the service is not accurate at all times

Its a self regulating industry which means no one cares

And no doubt there will be an extra line on the promotion poster that will be so small you will need a magnifying glass to see it.!
