as at the moment, Im preparing for a savage weekend of fun and no transport discussion with anyone bar the ticket checkers on the Cork line.

But by all means, everyone pile in and share your thoughts, while Im enjoying life.

IÉ press office saw that Derek was going to be trying to avoid talking about trains for the weekend and decided to sabotage it?

Stranger things have happened

Im honoured that Barry Kenny has publically accepted my Banjo challenge. Here it is, ready and waiting.

Can this Banjo actually deliver The Interconnector and the Navan line. This may be history in the making.

Cullen gone and another muppet on the self destruct button in place. Being a "local", can he deliver Navan rail? I say no. If it happens by 2015, I'll walk its length naked playing, "Workin on the railroad" on the banjo!!!!!

http://www.radioireland.ie/lastword/2862007-17.wmv (Windows Media stream)
http://audio.todayfm.com/audio/20070628170010.mp3 (MP3)

about 15 minutes in - easy to skip forward with the MP3 - is after an ad break and some text responses; item opens with CSO figures on cars/trains etc, then starts with Kenny.
