![]() There is a report of a fire at Porterstown Level Crossing between Coolmine and Clonsilla
The Maynooth Gorey service is stuck on the wrong side it appears and DART services are all over the shop Also a DART failure at Rahney which is backing things up badly, Southbound has come to a complete stall next three trains out of Pearse are up as delay. Thats the 2 DART's ahead of the Gorey and the Gorey itself. Nothing on the IE site or on the display in the station to explain The board then drops the 2 DART's. The 17:35 Connolly Bray has gone missing from the display as well Nothing on the IE site Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 28-05-2007 at 18:56. |

![]() Irish Rail's response
Quote:
Of course the real time thing just moved a southbound train 2 miles backwards it was in Clontarf Rd and is now in Harmonstown, just goes to prove the software is totally flawed |

![]() MArk I can understand how Raheny failure will hold up the Dart, but for the life of me I can't figure out how a train stuck in Clonsilla can do it.

![]() As the bus from Eastpoint was heading towards Clontarf Road at about 1800 this evening the man on the radio was announcing the 20 minute southbound delay. Big sigh from all onboard.
I was trying to decide whether or not to try my luck with a bus into town or wait for the train when I saw the platform display say 7 minutes . . . so I decided to take my chances. On the way in I checked on the realtime display (the usefull one) in the ticket office and it said 7.8 minutes till the next Greystones train. As I was on the stairs I heard a train above and thought it was Northbound, but at the top I saw it was Southbound. Most excellent, but I don't know where it came from and I don't think IE do either. . . It proceeded to pass through town picking up a tiny number of passengers and leave all sorts of people behind on the platforms - presumably waiting for other delayed trains. z |
