![]() "Its architect, the enthusiastic 73-year-old Elattuvalapil Sreedhran, told Mr Ahern: "We have very good discussions with the people about the routes. Sometimes they have good ideas."
In the end, however, Delhi Metro makes the final call. "I must tell Bord Pleanála that when I get home," Mr Ahern said jokingly." No Bertie, its not An Bord Pleanala you have to tell, its the power hungry gits in IE, RPA and DTO. Why? Because they all appear to be little boys and girls that had Daddy take over the trainset. Now they want to exact revenge on the Irish Public. The only problem with that is....a hornby is cheaper. |

![]() And the Department of Transport too. Dont forget them!
Did you know there's a stop on that system called 'Connaught Place'!! Please take note Rory O'Connor - "Trains currently consist of 4 coaches. However, the system is designed for trains with upto 8 coaches." Yeah Bertie, I cant wait till the redeveloped Ballymun has this running through it. Why dont we name all the supporting pillars after the Phoblacht signatories.. ![]() Last edited by Mark : 21-01-2006 at 00:02. |

![]() I like elevated trains in the right locations, not sure about Ballymun though, maybe in the old days when it was high rise low density with lots of space, but as the aim is to create a new main street along ballymun Road, don't see that fitting in too well. They may have to stay underground until nearer the M50. Why should the people of Ballymun get shafted afterall?
