Default [07/02/2013] -Delays to Belfast services

10.35 Belfast-Dublin canceled, train failed near Lisburn, passengers transfered to 12.35.

12.35 Belfast-Dublin delayed 75 minutes due to failed train blocking the line at Moira waiting to be taken to Lisburn.

13.20 Connolly-Belfast delayed at Drogheda, probaly becasue its not an enterprise train.

Bad enough having neither first class or catering on the 1520 but on top of that Irish Rail couldn't be bothered to the service to its destination. Really low end operation - pathetic but no longer surprising.

Questions also need to be asked by NI Railways and Irish Rail when Cork trains fail, why it takes over 4 hours to move a train. There is normally a spare loco at Belfast and Connolly and I am baffled why both handle the situation so badly. I just don't understand why the spare loco is not sent straight away to move the train once other trains behind failed ones are moved.

Dosn't excuse over 4 hours to move a train, local services didn't stop during the period they were slightly delayed so I assume single line operation was implemented. They have a spare loco in Belfast and it takes 4 hours to access the train and they have gaps of up to 30 minutes between local services.
