![]() Dun Laoghaire to Bray line closed again due to weather conditions - this time a tree down on the overheads. Can we expect flooding later ?
Irish Rail currently advising that the service will be restored around 0830. |

Inevitably the line didn't open until 3 hours later, from Bray I was directed onto a 45A (with no heating, freezing), then a further Dart from Dun Laoghaire - total journey time over 2 hours. |

![]() As of 1555 the DART service is again suspended south of Dun Laoghaire (in the southbound direction) - this time due to flooding. Diesel operated services appear to be still running in both directions at this time.
Northbound services likely to be disrupted and possibly cancelled at short notice. As of 1623 the 1437 from Drogheda to Bray has been cancelled at Dun Laoghaire. 1705 from Bray to Maynooth currently expected to start from Pearse. As of 1626, northbound DART services running to Dalkey only. Status of diesel services unclear. Last edited by Inniskeen : 18-01-2013 at 16:27. |

![]() Flooding between Sandycove and Dun Laoghaire is the problem
Irish Rail as always playing the lazy game 1. No reason Dalkey Greystones cannot operate 2. No information to which bus routes to get and from where 3. Lots of standing around, there are magic things called pumps

![]() How many times has this section of line been suspended due to flooding over the last 12 months? There comes a point where it is cheaper to solve the problem than middle through.
