Home | News Centre | News | Got Kids Get Luas - Fun Summer Activity Guide
Got Kids? Get Luas!

The Got Kids? Get Luas! fun summer activity guide is Luas’ way of giving parents a helping hand when choosing activities to keep the kids entertained this summer. It’s on online guide that you can browse or download and print off as you go. Each week a new theme will be uploaded to www.luas.ie with details of various fun activities that are taking place around Luas stops.

The first theme is “Science” and will be followed shortly by “Art”. There are lots of printable activities to keep the kids entertained on board Luas, such as puzzles and colouring sheets.

Luas is very family friendly with specific areas reserved for family seating and buggies. Our Park + Ride facilities also take the hassle out of looking for parking in the city centre.

To get you started with the guide, Luas is offering Free Travel for Kids every weekend in July. See Kids Go Free T&C’s for details. Also check out Luas Facebook for competitions and great prizes throughout the summer.

Home | News Centre | News | Take Luas to The Ark’s New Expo for families

Luas is delighted to support ‘Awakening Curiosity’, The Ark’s interactive art exhibition for children and families, with a playful twist of science in celebration of Dublin City of Science 2012.

Let your little ones (4+) explore the interactive art exhibitions, play the Food Chain of Life game, create a new species of butterfly or be spellbound by a laser animation of a snail trail. After the exhibition, bring your experience and ideas to life in the indoor Rooftop Art Garden. Work with an artist to draw, sculpt and create using recycled materials and natural objects like stones, wood and shells. There are also toddler workshops and special events so lots of fun for all ages.

Be in with a chance to win Luas Family packs of tickets and passes to The Ark by entering the Luas Facebook competition from Monday 2nd – Friday 6th July, see http://www.facebook.com/luas for info.

‘Awakening Curiosity’ runs from 23rd June – 6th August and is open Tuesday – Sunday 10am – 5pm (Closed Mondays, except bank holiday Monday 6 August).

Hop on Luas to The Ark located at 11a Eustace Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. Take Luas to St. Stephen’s Green Stop on the Luas Green Line or Jervis Stop on the Luas Red Line, both are only a short walk away from The Ark.

For more information on the exhibition, workshops and opening hours see www.theark.ie
