Default Railway company trying to use internet/social media

VIA Rail Canada has been progressively getting better at online stuff - they have a pretty good frequent traveller programme and email out discounts. More recently they have got into Facebook and Twitter. However, like IE they are a state company so have started to post more and more about where public money is being spent on stuff like bridge replacements. They would be so happy to be able to post test runs of something like a 22000 set - instead they have to make do with touting refurbs of 1986 vintage locos for another 20 years service, refurbs of 50+ year old DMUs and some super-elevation.

Maybe the Information Minister's minions could do more of this stuff and worry less about booking him on the Last Word to try and rubbish stories about what passengers actually experience from his company.
