Default [CANADA] How full will my train be?

GO Transit have launched a customer charter and among the additions to their website is a schematic basically indicating how long each train is in car length and the likelihood of getting a seat at each station. Here's an example for the Lakeshore East Line.

Something RUI could do?

(Edited to fix the fact that I still think of RUI as P11. In fairness I've only just got over Marathon becoming Snickers)

The problem is that train stock gets moved about somewhat and what might be a 4-car 29000 one day might be a 3-car 22000 the next.

If the Irish Rail planning diagrams were available it might be a bit more practical.

Doesn't stop them erecting signs on poles saying "3 car stop/4 car stop/6 car stop/8 car stop" on platforms and running a message on the PIS saying "this train is formed of # carriages".

I really don't see much point

I had a passenger complain of overcrowding on a certain train, strangely I was on the same train on that same day, curiously I boarded two stations later and had a choice of seats, train was not overcrowded

To be fair, GO Transit does run a very homogenous fleet so the "could be 29/could be 22 etc" on IE is a valid point. That said, some indication of likely crowds could be useful for tourists etc to know which to avoid.

Its very simple avoid anything arriving city between 8:15 and 9:00

Its very fickle, some mornings a seat is no problem, next day you are barely able to get on
