So once again Irish Rail update the notice

Quote:
Delays to Enterprise and DART services by Corporate Communications

Tuesday 4th August 15.45hrs

The 15.20hrs Connolly - Belfast service is delayed by 40 minutes due to the failure of the 12.30hrs Belfast -Connolly service at Fairview, which is currently delayed by 60 minutes.

DART services are also experiencing delays of up to 15mins.

Customers are advised that where delays exceed 60minutes, customers are eligible for refund vouchers under our Passenger Charter

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the incovenience caused.
Of course passengers on both the 12:30 and 15:20 are entitled to a 25% refund after 30 minutes, 50% after 1 hour and 100% after 90 minutes. As usual Irish Rail haven't a clue about how there own charters work http://www.railusers.ie/passenger_in...hp#their_fault http://www.translink.co.uk/entcharter_refunds.asp

It just keeps getting better the 16:10 Belfast Connolly is now running an hour late due to problems on the inbound leg, unrelated to the other breakdown

19:00 Dublin Belfast likely to be delayed by at least 20 minutes as a result

I was waiting on the 15.20 service... there was no announcement until 15.20 and nobody knew what was going on.. there were rumours of a train failure but everyone was in the dark.. I queried the customer service rep and was told that there could be an hour delay as the enterprise had an engine problem at fairview and it would take 30 mins to arrive.. I had no choice but to get the bus as i have a 5pm deadline I arrived at dundalk train station at about 16.45 and was told the enterprise had just left Dublin!

Problems continue the 18:10 Belfast Dublin is over an hour late, impacting on the 20:45 Dublin Belfast which will be at least 40 minutes late

19:00 from Dublin also badly delayed

Quote:

Due to mechanical knock on the 1900 service from Dublin to Belfast is delayed by 32 minutes.
