![]() Applied for the Auto Top Up trial, interestingly the confirmation email states that the it can be activated on Irish Rail facilities.
"Your application will be processed within three days. Then, you will be able to activate Auto Top-Up by simply using your Leap Card as normal on any Dublin Bus, Irish Rail or*Luas service. Please note, for the trial you will not be able to activate Auto Top-Up on Bus Éireann, Wexford Bus or Mathews commuter services.* Important note – once you have applied for Auto Top-Up you will have 21 days to activate it. After that time your application will automatically expire and you will not be able to use or re-apply for Auto Top-Up. The activation and any auto top-ups received will be visible on the “View My History” section of*www.leapcard.ie" Welcome also the Irish Rail capping trial - are they working on multi travel mode capping? ![]() Note that you also need a positive balance for auto top-up to be activated

![]() I noticed a bus in Cork (route 202) this morning that had a smart card reader installed. Is a roll-out beyond Dublin being planned?
