![]() The rubber band has broken on the signalling system again so that'll be a nice start to the week getting home a minimum of 30 minutes late. At least they found a 6-car ICR somewhere for the 1805 to Longford which has ben delayed 5 minutes and turned into an all-stops service as the preceding Maynooth service was cancelled.

I have had more faults in the last month than ever before. Tonight the 18.20 didn't depart Waterford West until 18.45 (25 mins late) and then on approch to Ballyhale we were told there would be another delay because the points were not after changing from the loop back to the main line 25 minutes after the 16.35 train cleared them and then delaying both trains again. Yet with these delays we still arrived in Heuston 2 minutes early. Can't wait to see the Feb OTP stats accross the network. Last Friday the 06.00 was delayed due to another points fault at Waterford West. |

![]() As Mark pointed out, this has been going back for some time on the Maynooth line. It appears that whenever they do anything around Clonsilla the signalling dies a couple of times over the next couple of weeks. I presume the work on Sunday was to plumb in the new platform in Clonsilla.
One thing I noticed was that they did appear to handle the situation a bit better than usual. They had hourly services running from Docklands and there was a hand-written board with details placed in the middle of the concourse in Connolly. They also used a longer train for the 1805 to Longford and made it a stopping service as they had cancelled some trains. I still ended up about 35 minutes late but if I had been about two minutes earlier at Connolly I probably would have been on-time or earlier as they had just closed the platform gate on the 1715 to Longford. |

![]() Seems to be more trouble today. Let's hope they don't*break anything else trying to fix it.
