22033 should be back very soon. Yesterday it was taken from Portlaois - Inchicore for works.

2724 + 2715 at Ennis after arriving with the 1235 from Limerick. 2011 wasn't a good year for the 2700 Class with plans to store them in 2012, being replaced with 2800 Class displaced from Drogheda by the new 22000 Class Intercity DMU's. Sat 31.12.11
About time they get rid of them 2700

Though I still don't get why Limerick Junction-Limerick isn't intercity especially at peak times.

There are direct Limerick-Dublin services that bypass LJ at peak times (15:25 16:25 17:25 ex-Dublin). With a connecting service, having the extra doors of a commuter-type train is useful.*

* Yes, they could do with doing something to keep the heat in.

I don't get the direct trains cause they run them too late but should be one spare 3x car set though for the overcrowded services ie the 18:00 limerick-Limerick junction service. Is there anymore on order?

I believe ICR units might take over the shuttle

A 2800 is significant worse than a 2700 in passenger comfort terms
