![]() A fire has been set on the line at Broombridge by vandals
Line closed as a result, fire brigade in attendance unclear if there is damage to track/signalling equipment

![]() I was on the 19:05 from Dublin going home to Longford. Train was delayed leaving Connolly by roughly 30 minutes.
The driver kept us well informed at the time and again just before departure. On board food trolley offered free tea or coffee to all passengers. Surprisingly nice show from Irish Rail ![]() |

![]() Driver said vandals had set a motorbike on fire on the tracks at Broombridge (or Boombridge as I call it).
Train crawled past Boombridge area on the Maynooth side of the platforms, possibly there was some damage. |

![]() I understand that there has been some minor damage to the track but nothing terribly serious
Typically enough another signal fault occurred this morning
