![]() They should just post a notice to the effect that the train is late because it is November. It has been that way every November for the six years I've been commuting. I've come to the conclusion that it is a vast conspiracy so that everyone can say how much better things are after the new timetable starts in early December.
I was on the early Sligo - Dublin train on Saturday and it was running so well that it had to wait for 7 minutes in Edgeworthstown because it was early. It still managed to be 5 minutes early in Connolly. I got the 1705 back and it was on time. The 1805 weekday Connolly to Longford has been routinely 13 or 14 minutes late at Edgeworthstown for the last month which I would say gets it into Longford 9 minutes late so that it is on time for the stats. We've just pulled into Maynooth at 1853 today which has us exactly 20 minutes late. 48 minutes for 20 miles non-stop. I hate November. |

![]() why does it take so long to publish a notice to say delays on the line.
I was on the 1600 Connolly to Sligo and all we got was operational problems. The train didn't pull into Connolly till around 1605 and that was into platform 1. On a good note the 1544 Connolly to Maynooth the driver told everyone that the next train to Maynooth was the Sligo train. |
