Default [21-7-2008] Connolly to Howth Junction delays

Quote:
Services resume: Connolly to Howth Junction by Corporate Communications

10.30hrs Monday 21st July

Services have resumed between Connolly and Howth Junction following an earlier incident at Clontarf Road, which was attended by the emergency services.

DART and Commuter services are delayed by up to 20 minutes in both directions, but are returning to normal.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.
Once again failure to make the best of the situation, the crossovers beyond Killester could have been used to minimise the scale of distruption

Woman hit by DART train
A woman was injured when she was hit by a DART this morning.

The incident happened at 10am at Clontarf DART station. The woman was treated by the emergency services and was brought to hospital.

The line between Connolly and Howth was closed for about 20 minutes following the incident, and some trains were delayed as a result.

The line has since reopened.
