Hmm, actually I'd better remember to check my ticket before I get on.

Otherwise I'll be hit with the penalty (refundable) and I'll still have to buy a single ticket to get home at the same cost as the return (non-refundable).

It'd be nice to be able to get the return and use it as a monetary reminder to check your pockets before I leave home.
