Default Enterprise coaches looking like they were stoned?!

I just noticed an enterprise set at Connolly in terrible condition. The coaches looked like they'd been stoned or something. There were damaged spots of paintwork all over them and they were painted over with light coloured paint.

It looked absolutely aweful

What's going on!?

This is the high quailty maintenance the boys in Belfast provide

The white spots are actually filler, pending repainting

Why does it need that much filler?
Is it rusting through already?!?

Think they are steel

Paint is a low priority up in Belfast mainly since the coaches keep breaking down. NIR have been incredibly slow to sort out the parking brake issues and the consensus is the maintenance standards are not up to what you would expect

I can't look at this thread title without thinking of a carriage going round and round in circles, giggling and listening to Pink Floyd. And forgetting the way back to Belfast, of course. That just me?

I saw a coach this morning (7:35 Dublin Belfast) which seems to have more filler on it that actual paint, rest of the train looked ok apart from a first class coach being used as a standard

This was whole level beyond the normal filler I've seen
