It will be every 15 minutes, 4 trains per hour 15 minutes apart
As it stands, likely pattern out of Heuston is xx:05, xx:20, xx:35, xx:50

Anybody notice that Hazelhatch is a bit dangerous when its dark? The ground is uneven and its badly lit. I think its only a matter of time before somebody trips and gets hurt there. Could they not turn on the new lights???

Do you still have to do the mad detour from the car park to the platforms?

i saw yesterday that you can now get a 4 week parking ticket for 30 euros...still not worth my while. I can get parking in town for 7 eur a day in a couple of places (if i cant get a spot in work)...weekly return to connolly is 25.50..+ 8 for parking = 33.50 a week vs 35 for parking....not much of a choice there...i wont be constrained by a poor timetable / late running of trains.

hoopsheff: your comparison seems to ignore the cost of the fuel used to drive to town, never mind the other wear-and-tear items which it all too easy to forget.

fuel costs are minimal..about 5 /10 a week max. I work 5 days a week so I would still be saving the difference on the parking (i used 5 days to illustrate the similarity of the charges).
as for wear and tear...the cost of the car has already been incurred. It will depreciate in value regardless of whether i drive it or not (although at a lower rate if i dont drive it..but not that much lower!) |

The official opening of Hazelhatch is this Friday May 8th
Its great to see despite the precarious position of the finances in Irish Rail that money is being wasted on yet another bronze plaque
