Mr Kenny said that many people had made alternative travel arrangements when they heard of the delays and that they had been "overwhelmingly understanding" of the situation. Although the delays were out of the rail operator's control, Iarnród Éireann would, as a matter of policy, offer refund vouchers of 50 per cent for people who experienced more than an hour's delay and full refunds for those delayed by more than two hours, he said. I guess it is good that they make an exception, even if fixing the mess of refunds would be a better thing in the long run. |

![]() Well I would always argue that regardless of the cause IE did though lack of thought and planning add to the mess
Forms are one thing, its the actual letter back with the refund that counts Fact we have been banging on about this for ages is clearly making them think twice |
