Iarnród Éireann will be hosting in conjunction with Guaranteed Irish a special evening at Pearse Station to promote Guaranteed Irish products on Wednesday 28th July next. Commuters on their way home from work will be able to sample and purchase products from the likes of Sheridan’s Cheeses, Flahavan’s, Kearn’s Strawberries and the inimitable Mr. Tayto will also be along to add his own unique sense of occasion to the evening. That's a laugh, IE telling us to buy Irish with a non-Irish Chief. Not that there's anything wrong with hiring immigrants mind (given I'm taking some Canadian's job), just a bit rich to go pushing "support your own" when IE would rather import hundreds of millions of Euro in trains rather than, say, develop an indigenous overhaul industry which could refit trains they already own.
