Default Connolly Station Platform Flooring

Irish Rail do now and again get things right and somebody deserves a bit of credit for the new tiling on the platforms in Connolly.

Today was the first properly wet day since they have done it there was no shortage of grip underfoot. It would be good if this is the beginning of a pattern of sorting the little things out.

Whoever put the tiles down in the first place should have been shot.

I was being positive and so I thought I wouldn't mention that. But yes, it would be nice to know what genius thought it was a was bright idea to put ceramic tiles down on a railway platform.

It was really only a matter of time before somebody slipped on them and went under a train.

Having broken a rib last year due to a fall in Connolly I agree that the new surface seems to be an improvement.

But what about safety in some of the other stations, e.g. recently under-platform lights are often off in Bayside and I find the surface very slippy when wet.

I am a big fan too
I have slipped in there so many times and now there is actually proper grip.
