![]() Vitamin C in combination with zinc - lots of it. But obviously not an overdose that will give you liver or kidney failure. Seven Seas do a purple capsule thingy of it, it would have a dosage on it.
Although it's better to load your system when you start to get the cold. The Vitamin C in Lemsip is no good, the boiling water denatures it or something and renders it useless.

![]() Well its been over 48 hours so you should be fighting it naturally, but since most guys make the mistake of resting when they get a cold it cold be a resistent fecker. So stay active and pump yourself with more than 2 litres of water a day and a lot of lemsip and panadol, stay away from that sudafed stuff for your nose, last cold i had i checked my bp and it was 148/90 with a pulse of 100 (standing), thats fxxxing dangerous.

If you have not got problems with blood pressure you should be fine on sudofed. It only works on runny or congested noses though. I agree with the loads of fluids but I would say go to bed and sweat it out. A stressed body takes longer to cure. Really, you can't get well with advice over the internet (full stop) I would suggest going into your local pharmacy and discussing your specific symptoms with the pharmacist. Different colds and flus have different symptoms in different people. Go to the kind of pharmacy where you actually get to speak to a pharmacist, not some 20 year old counter assistant. i.e. not Unicare, Hickey's, Boots and you will be sorted in no time. This thread should probably be locked/deleted as (1) advice here could be dangerous and (2) nothing to do with rail commuting. Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 02-03-2007 at 18:48. |
