![]() I noticed it for the first time today in the last few months, that overcrowding is back with avengance. I was on a Drogheda-Bray service this morning, and the commuters trying to embark at Howth Junction faced an already heavily crowded service. Not sure if this had anything to do with the problems at Connolly.
result: Lots of passengers left behind. I assume there was a lot of house completions on the Northern line this summer, and without the students, this all seemed ok. But with them back now, it's going to be an interesting winter.... |

![]() I figured it out - seems to be a big college 'hunting' event in RDS, with 6th year students from everywhere attending, all aiming to come in for 9am.
The funny thing is they think they can sit on the floors in peak time - clearly not used to normal peak travel. Then the doors open at Donabate, and the crowds pile on tripping over them..... |

![]() 8:19 ex Castleknock left people behind in Ashtown yesterday. A girl also fainted between Broombridge and Drumcondra.
Same train this morning was unbareably warm and stuffy. No AirCon. |
