Services on the Cork/Dublin rail line were disrupted tonight following an incident near Mountrath in Co Laois.

A man was killed when he was struck by a train at around 7pm.

Rail services on the Cork/Heuston line are running approximately two hours behind. Galway, Westport, Waterford rail services are operating as normal.

A special service running from Limerick to Heuston at midnight after the Bob Dylan Concert in Thomond Park in Limerick will operate as normal.
