UPDATE: 16,50hrs, Thursday 22nd May
Iarnród Éireann advises customers that a refusal by drivers based in Cork to work their normal rosters is causing disruption to rail services in the Cork & Kerry areas.
The stoppage by drivers commenced following a refusal by a Cork-based driver to drive his train within his core roster this morning, to facilitate training of new trainee drivers.
Services which are not operating are:
- 11.00hrs Heuston to Cork
- 13.30hrs Cork to Heuston
- 14.30hrs Cork to Heuston
- 15.30hrs Cork to Heuston
- 16.30hrs Cork to Heuston
- 17.30hrs Cork to Heuston
- 18.00hrs Heuston to Cork
- 18.30hrs Heuston to Tralee
- 19.00hrs Heuston to Cork
- 20.00hrs Heuston to Cork
- 21.00hrs Heuston to Cork
- Cork commuter services (Cork/Cobh, Cork/Mallow)
Iarnród Éireann is endeavouring to provide bus transfers for customers on affected services.
The following services are expected to operate, to and from Mallow only. Bus transfers will operate between Mallow and Cork.
14.00hrs, 15.00hrs, 16.00hrs 17.00hrs Heuston to Cork services
18.30hrs, 19.30hrs and 20.30hrs Cork to Heuston services
All other rail services on other routes are unaffected.
Friday 23rd May: Service information will be updated for Friday 23rd May as soon as it becomes available. However, Iarnróed Éireann regrets that it is expected that significant disruption will continue into tomorrow.
