Parking Heuston
I am going to Cork for the weekend on the CDE this weekend. Am I better off getting a taxi or can or is parking available at Heuston (and at what cost)?
Can not find anything on the IE Website! Any body have any experiences parking at Heuston! Would much applicate any info on this issue. |
expensive
7 euro for the day. think you cant stay overnight. Also could park at the LUAS carpark in Red Cow for 4 euro but then have to pay for the Tram.
Suppose you could try park somewhere on the tram route for free. Not sure where its safe to park all day. Think best bet is to cycle and park at heuston. Oh I see its all week end, then my advice is crap. Only alternative might be to drive to Newbridge and park, again if you parked overnight would they clamp you. You can see CIE would prefer you to drive to Cork rather than go by train. If your going to Cork by train they (CIE) should give you a free car park space. |
Thanks Freeluas! Have already bought my tickets on the CDE! Will try Heuston anyway,
Just thinking, In a year or two, will cost around 10 euro for tolls on the N7/M8 to Cork and will certainly be musk quicker than the CDE! :( |

It might be a "per 24 hours" fee so €14 + the number of hours at €1.50. It is run by Euro Car Parks Ltd. Link Here It's actually quite cheap for between the canals, I know people from Westmeath who use it as a park and ride for the luas to the city centre. |
16 Euro
Hi
In the end I paid 16 Euro from 11:40am on Fri to 18:30 Sunday. This is a special weekend rate which is ok . |
Another option is Q-Park behind the statoil petrol station on Usher's Quay, which often has weekend specials.
