Green Line this morning (09/11/06)
 

While walking towards the Beechwood station this morning I saw a city bound tram cross the level crossing. 30 seconds or so later just as I was about to cross the tracks, another city bound tram pulled out of the station. Whilst crossing the tracks I could see another tram pulling into the station and a further tram pulling out of Cowper. That would mean that in the space of 5 minutes, four trams went through Beechwood. I've seen this happen on the red line due to traffic problems, but the Green line is segregated from traffic south of Beechwood, so any idea how this could have occured?

I generally get the LUAS into town in the morning and generally its fine in terms of spacing, sometimes 3mins in between trams. But there is nothing worse than getting that tiny tram (The same size as the Red Line trams) when waiting during the peak hours!

Unless you use the red line...

The Red line tram (3011) was requisitioned to Sandyford to enable the 4 minute frequencies, given the 20 minute journey there is no way of hiding it on a off peak service

Not that there is anything wrong with extra services, just that the Green Line does fill the full length trams and when a shorter one comes along its a bit of a sight. Although strangely I seem to see a little more room on that one than ones passing prior (When I'm not in a rush I'll wait for a few to go by).
