Default Northern Line timings

I took the 18:05 from Drogheda to the city the onter day, and I find it interesting that it can make Drogheda to Connolly in just over 50 mins, despite calling at every station as far as Howth Junction. There didn't seem to be anything special about it, just a lot of the unnecessary sitting in stations was cut out, with most stops lasting under a minute. I realise that people need a little longer to get on and off when it's packed with commuters, but I was thinking it would be great if all services could run that smoothly.

Imagine what would be possible if it was run by 100mph DMUs.
