Default 17.50 03/11/2009

17.50 didn't even run yesterday evening.

No announcment until 18.05 to tell sallins and newbridge cumstomers to go for the 18.10 train. Nothing for anyone else or a reason for the delay.

Then at 18.15 Port cumstomers got off and went for 18.05 ( no really ) after word filtered up that the 17.50 wasn;t going anywhere.

The 18.05 left at 18.35 but pulled in to let the 18.00 Cork train pass by

What a joke of a service, i rang them this morning and it was like talking to a brain dead donkey.

Asking me were announcment made via the the station PA system......eh how would i know, i was on a the train.

The complete lack of interest in the customer and the service baffles me.

Not even an announcment on the 18.05 ( well 18.35 really ) to why it was late or an apology.

I finally got home at 19.35.....55 mins late and still paid the same amount.

Hello!!! Where have you been hiding? CIE/IE is a byword for appalling customer service. Everybody's business is nobody's business. The staff and management will get paid even if the trains are empty. CIE/IE is a permanent social employment scheme.

I just got a call from customer no service and was told that the 17.50 to Galway failed and the 18.00 to Cork alsoo failed.

But there were no announcements or apologies for any of this or announcennts for what trains were running or for what trains customers to diffferent stations should get.

The crew in Heuston can't cope when something goes wrong

If the 17:50 had died, even to the level of the PA failing, a member of staff should have walked through

a) Its broke
b) Passengers for a,b,c go to platform x etc

Most folks would want the 18:05 service, passengers off the 18:00 would be on the 18:30.

Customer services live on a different planet. There was an internal investigation several years ago after a tripple train failure, lots of promises but appears no follow through.
