Exclamation [19/20/21-6-2009] Major disruption to Heuston Services on these dates

Friday evening 19th June to Sunday lunchtime 21st June, Heuston Station services

As part of our ongoing investment in the Kildare Route Project, essential signalling and trackwork will take place between Heuston and Sallins on 19th to 21st June.

This will result in major disruption to all services into and out of Heuston.

Bus Transfers will be in operation from 20.00 hrs on Friday 19th June to 13.30 hrs on Sunday 21st June for all Intercity services.

HEUSTON/WATERFORD Bus Transfers will operate to and from Newbridge. Buses will depart Heuston 20 mins in advance of their normal train times.

HEUSTON/CORK Bus Transfers will operate to and from Kildare. Buses will depart Heuston 20 mins in advance of their normal train times. NOTE: A 2 hourly service will operate on Saturday 20th June.

HEUSTON/LIMERICK Bus Transfers will operate to and from Kildare. Buses will depart Heuston 20 mins in advance of their normal train times. NOTE: 05.35 Limerick/Heuston is cancelled on Saturday 20th June.

HEUSTON/TRALEE Bus Transfers will operate to and from Kildare. Buses will depart Heuston 20 mins in advance of their normal train times.

HEUSTON/GALWAY Bus Transfers will operate to and from Portarlington. Buses will depart Heuston 30 mins in advance of their normal train times.

HEUSTON/WESTPORT/BALLINA Bus Transfers will operate to and from Portarlington. Buses will depart Heuston 30 mins in advance of their normal train times.

COMMUTER SERVICES All Heuston / Newbridge / Kildare / Carlow / Portlaoise / Thurles commuter services are cancelled during the disruption period.

Delays of up to 45 minutes may occur on Intercity services due to Bus Transfers.

Advice to Passengers with Special Needs

Any mobility impaired passengers requiring to travel during the period of curtailed services should contact our special need helpline at (01) 703 3299 between 09.00 hrs and 17.30 hrs Monday to Friday.

So trains terminating and starting in Kildare and Portarlington with bus transfers to and from Heuston for the whole weekend?

more or less yep!

and not even a mention of whether rail tickets of those between hazelhatch and heuston will be accepted on dublin bus or not?

Aer Arrann had some great ads today telling people to skip the Bus + Train out of Heuston this weekend and take the plane to Cork, Galway and Knock.

Fares at €30 one way*.





* I'm sure finding flights at these prices on a Friday evening are difficult.

Despite the notice sounding like this is a huge deal which will bring the KRP closer to finish it turns out its a replacement of 2 crossovers in Sallins and maybe a crossover in Hazelhatch
