Default 09:00 Heuston Cork

I need juice for my laptop on the way down to Cork tomorrow?

Is the 9:00 train from Heuston one of the newer trains that has power sockets at each table?

9:00 is an ICR so it has sockets

If its a Mk4, sockets behind seat number 5 and opposite the toilet

I'm astonished to note the 22000 ICR's have sockets available throughout - if I read Marks's report correctly - but Mk 4 sets do not?
If this is so it's a disgrace despite hundreds of millions of Euro spent on upgrading the rail system including the most modern of train sets?
Smart economy how are you!

Quite surprised myself that Mk4s don't have sockets at each table. ICR's have one at every table.

I assume the Mk3s being refurbished will have power sockets at every table.

That may not be a good assumption.

What's going to happen with the refurbished Mk3s Thomas? Is it just Belfast that will get them or will Cork get a set too? Does anyone know??

I thought one or two Mk3 sets were going to be refurbished and deployed on the Belfast line. That plan must have changed. Shame.

This morning, this train was a 9-car 22k set (1 x 6 car + 1 x 3 car).

It eliminates the need for empty trains from Cork to Portlaois to swap trains
