17.26 blackrock to maynooth thursday evening - with Blackrock Pub Guide
I got the 17.26 service from blackrock to maynooth. It ran 15 minutes late. It did not display on the pis at any station to connolly . There was no audio announcement for the delay or when it arrived. The audio and visuals were not working internal or external including the destination. When it arrived at connolly it was announced as the 18.04 and left dangerously overcrowded worse than normal.

I'd go with Jack's, Breffni is a bit quiet. Tonic's nice but can get mad busy.

Nice touch thomasj stamp! where else can you discuss delays to trains and where the nearest and best pub is in the event of your train being delayed by an hour or two. Can i plug a suggestion for a tread like this in the canteen called the lounge where we can suggest pubs near stations in the event of this happening. I have suggestions for castleknock.

Fire away. No blatant advertising or slander though. 'I don't like' and 'is a hole' are two different things.

2 bars with the same name and different types -kennedys, on the corner of westland row is a legend of a pub. The one next door tm tara street station reminded me of mos in the simpsons and the toilet was revolting

I was stuck in Portarlington for over an hour once. One look at the "shop" in the railway bar was enough to convince me to walk about a mile to the next shop. Also, I never want to set foot in Portarlington again.

I was in that Kennadys by Tara Street nearly 20 years ago and I still bear the emotional scars from the toilets, don't tell me they've escaped the "Celtic Tiger".

As for Portarlington, I recall i didnt like it when I was there, buit I cannot remember why. If there was a scale of say Beverly Hills being good and Athy being bad, it would almost be as bad as Athy. |

Terrible Portarlington bashing in progress. Since the town is a 20 min walk from the station, and you can't walk that far cos you work in IT or in law and you can't make it to nice pubs like The Continental and The Anvil and The Pint O'Port and O'Dea's - instead you're invited to my house for tea and mini-chocolate swiss rolls if they ever find yourself stranded by IE (like between 13:35 & 15:51 Dublin bound). Repeat after me: Portarlington is the centre of the universe Portarlington is the centre of the universe
