Default [17-6-2010] 09:05 connolly sligo 29k operated

yep the 09:05 connolly sligo just passed me at clonsilla and is a 4 coach 29k.

I presume this is linked to the rosslare situation (ie some trains not running)

There has been a bit of strangeness in rolling stock this week although the 0905 has been a 29K for a good while. We had a 22K for the 1805 to Longford last night and 4 car 29K for the 0545 Sligo - Dublin service this morning.

The latter is hopelessly inadequate for this service and is a pain as you need to be a bit more organised about battery charges given the difficulties with getting power sockets on 29Ks.

strangely enough the docklands service that is 3-coach 22k operated (due to the rosslare line works) was 4-coach 29k operated this morning

is the 22k coach that hit rocks in fearns now out of service?

The reason for the 4-car 29K running the 5.45 Sligo-Dublin this morning was because the 19.05 Dublin - Sligo never left Connolly last evening due to a "technical issue". Passengers were told @ 19.15 to get off the 6-car 22K on platform 4 and head across to the 4-car 29K on platform 1. Train left Connolly @ 19.30. Only made up 5 minutes by Mullingar
