07:40 - Waterford - Heuston

A friend was on this train and they were stooped in Muine Beag for 18 minutes not including the 5 minute wait there normally. They were waiting for the 07:20 to Waterford which was running 20 minutes late. Why did IE not send the 07:40 to Carlow and have them meet there. It would of only caused a 5 minute delay to the 07:40 then. According to the real time train info it was due in Heuston at 10:15.
