Got this train into Dublin on Saturday. Of all the days to have to travel up

I'm not sure where it came from, it was on the online timetable, it wasn't that full.

Got a seat, lots of rugger fans in good form. All good so far.

Except it was 5 minutes early leaving Portarlington station. Which is a bit nasty considering the day that was in it - lots of train travel newbies, and the next one's not for 1.5 hours - and they're never meant to be early.

That was the 10:50 Galway Dublin, given it has 60 minutes to do Portarlington Dublin it could leave 15 minutes late and still make it

There is no excuse, the guard blew the whistle, he/she is at fault
