Default 16-25 Railcards stopped

IÉ has quietly snuck out that 16-25 Railcards will no longer be issued. The card replaced the Faircard around 5 years ago. Cards in circulation will be accepted up to their expiry date.

Last one was issued Dec 2012, so 16-25 will be purged on Jan 1st

The changes to the student intercity fare ID requirements has more than covered any loss

You will lose out if you are in work. I used on of these when it was called Faircard until I was 26 and I finished full-time education when I was 22.
