I'd say you're looking at more like 130-140, with more on a Monday
I am a little shocked with those numbers and how low they are, would it not be more fuel efficent to run a 3 car ICR set on that service is its only getting around that many daily. 190 seats v 400 odd on a Mark 4.

It picks up at other stops too. Without figures from Irish Rail, we won't know the real numbers. I do know that some carriages are busier than others though.

Before they broke the connection at Limerick Junction, there were passengers standing from there. Now, it probably arrives into Dublin 80% full.

I would wonder whether there's any merit in providing a connection from Clonmel at Limerick Junction if there isn't going to be one from Limerick.

Its about 50 minutes between Clonmel and Waterford and Clonmel and Limerick Junction and if a connection was to be provided I would pick Waterford in terms that it would be well used as a lot of people drive daily from Clonml to Waterford for work. I don't know how padded the timetable is but I do know anything up to 10 minutes could be knocked off the Clonmel-Waterford section.

If it departed Clonmel at 06.25/30 it would be in Waterford by 07.10/15 and the current 07.10 from Waterford can do Dublin in 1h50m and it could be pushed back to 07.20 departure but we all know IR would prefer to close the Limerick J line even though they have had recommendations to provide a decent service between Clonmel and Waterford.

Just crawling past Blarney now.

There was a fairly serious looking engineering train on the line to Mallow (I can never remember which is the up and down line...).

It looks like there's still something quite wrong with the line, even if the immediate need to work single lines is gone.

Anyone know what caused it yet?
